Located on Bamrung Muang Road, one of Bangkok’s oldest paved roads, Anya Authentic Thai Cuisine has made a mission out of recreating rare and historic Thai dishes for patrons from around the city. Our restaurant grew out of Varanya (nicknamed “Nong”) Tippayapan’s desire to allow foreigners to experience authentic Thai flavors. A stay at 1905 Heritage Corner, a colonial-style guesthouse on Phraeng Phuthon Road, pushed her to found Anya Authentic Thai Cuisine in March 2020 Next door to Anya are ancient and cultural landmarks iconic to Thailand, the perfect backdrop for the restaurants’ historic delicacies. Now our restaurant counts locals as well as visitors among their loyal guests, thanks to its commitment to authenticity.

Anya’s myriad variety of special dishes are prepared by our expert chef, who has over 10 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel. Our chef ensures the best and freshest ingredients are chosen and cooked to perfection in the traditional way. Whether the dish is a ‘royal’ dish (previously prepared exclusively for Thai royalty) or a local specialty, we perform each step the old-fashioned way. For instance, our homemade chilli and curry pastes are pounded by hand - not shredded in a blender. The result? Every detail in each dish has been attended to. It’s a perfectly balanced blend of flavors, smells and spices, heightened with fragrant fresh-squeezed coconut milk.
